BUTTER 1# 6 ounces
SUGAR 2# 10 ounces
EGGS 1# 10 ounces
DARK CHOCOLATE -semi-sweet 1# 6 ounces
VANILLLA EXTRACT 1/2 ounces
CAKE FLOUR 1#
COCOA POWDER 5 1/2 ounces
CHOPPED NUTES - pecans or walnuts 1#

YIELDS: 1 SHEETPAN

1) Melt chocolate and cool to room temperature. Reserve.
2) Cream butter and sugar till smooth.
3) Slowly add the room temperature eggs.
4) Add the reserved melted chocolate and vanilla extract.
5) Sift the cake flour and cocoa powder together and incorporate into the mixture.
6) Add the nuts.
7) Spread into a parchment lined sheetpan.
8) Bake at 350F degrees for approximately 40 minutes.

** Apply a chocolate ganache frosting if desired.
