Traditional Baker’s Hungarian Lekvar is a filling used in your favorite yeast-raised dough products, like danish, coffee cakes, pastries and cookies. Can be used before or after baking as a filling. Lekvar is a prune butter made from whole California prunes. After removing the pit, the remaining fruit pulp is cooked to create a smooth textured filling with just the right balance of sweetness and tartness.
Formulated to prevent boiling or spillage in the oven.
