Krumkake is a thin, delicate embossed cookie of Norwegian origin. Typically the cookie is rolled into a cone while still warm and flexible. It can be served plain or filled with whipped cream. A Pizzelle is a traditional Italian sugar cookie served plain or rolled into a cone and filled with fruit or ice cream. Directions of use: Grease insides of plates. Preheat iron over kitchen stove-top, until water sprinkled on surface sizzles. Spoon 1 teaspoon of batter onto the center of the baking surface. Close iron and gently squeeze together. Bake for 5-10 seconds. Then turn iron over and bake an additional 5-10 seconds. Cookies are baked when golden brown. Remove from the iron with a spatula and roll-up into a cone, using the wooden cone tool included. Remove from the tool and allow to cool. A classic Krumkake Iron with a traditional embossed pattern.
