| PatisFrance brings you an "all new" powder preparation for making delicious French Cannele's quickly and easily.
A classic French pastry originally from the
Bordeaux region, made from a custard type batter, then baked in
tall round copper molds. The resulting cake has a dark
caramelized crust and a soft moist custard-like interior, with the flavor of rum and vanilla. Perfect for serving with coffee as a petit four, or as a dessert at tea-time.
Directions:
1) 450g Cannele powder mix, 50g Butter, 500g Hot Water and 50g Rum.
2) With a whisk attachment, whip on medium speed for 10 minutes.
3) Place batter in the refrigerator to relax for 1 hour.
4) Grease Cannele Molds with pan spray.
5) Bake at 400F degrees, for 50-55 minutes depending on the mold size.
6) Remove immediately from cannele mold to cool on a wire rack.
7) Let sit for 2 hours before eating. 8) Can be frozen and reheated to regain their original crunchiness.
