BUTTER |
1/4 cup |

SUGAR |
1/2 cup |

LIGHT BROWN SUGAR |
1/3 cup |

CINNAMON - ground |
1/4 tsp. |

LIGHT CORN SYRUP |
1/4 cup |

WHITE RUM |
2 1/2 ounces |

HEAVY CREAM - warm |
2/3 cup |

BANANAS - ripe, firm, & sliced |

WALNUTS - chopped |

VANILLA BEAN ICE CREAM |

1. Place a medium saute pan over medium high heat.
2. Place the butter into the pan and melt. Then add the
sugar, light brown sugar, cinnamon and corn syrup. Stir
to combine. Cook for 3 minutes until the mixture is melted and
bubbly.
3. Add half of the rum and stir until blended. Then stir
in the remaining rum. Be careful the rum can flame! Cook
for 2 minutes - stirring occasionally.
4. Add half of the warm heavy cream and stir until blended.
Then stir in the remaining heavy cream. Cook for 2 minute - stirring
occasionally.
5. Slice the bananas into 1/4" slices. Add these
to the pan and stir gently to heat through. Cook for 2 minute.
6. Add the chopped walnuts and stir to combine. Remove
from the heat.
7. To plate the dessert, place two scoops of ice cream
into a beautiful dessert bowl. Top with the sauce. Serve immediately!
